1 and 2-ply Kid Mohair

Kid mohair is a natural product of the highest quality from South African Angora goats. South Africa currently accounts for approximately 50% of the world’s Mohair production, and that fact gives a great responsibility for production methods and -quality.

The Angora goats are cut twice a year, either by hand or with machines. The animals are not harmed in any way in this process.

The mohair is sorted by length, fiber diameter and quality.

Then washed, carded and combed, made into tops and spun into yarns.

Dyeing of the yarn is carried out before or after it is spun depending on the expression desired in the finished yarn.

The Kid mohair yarn consists of 65% mohair and 35% merino.
